About the owner
Dave Dewey comes from the heart of the Midwest. He enjoys the outdoors, and the beauty of the mountains. Dave has been in the industry since 1974. He started working with his uncle’s moving company and then headed to Colorado in 1980. Through experience, it became clear that there was a need for a transfer company that understands the design community.
About the name
Step Hills Transfer was created by Dave’s granddaughter. When traveling home from the mountains to the city, Kayla knew she was close to home when they reached the foothills. Kayla would always ask Dave if they had reached the Step Hills, because she could not remember the right word. We look back on those memories fondly, and feel a personal connection to the name. It reminds us of the magic of youth, and the anticipation of good things to come.
